With the holiday season in full swing for the past couple of weeks now, many gifts have been purchased for those close to us, as well as gift cards for those you don’t know how to shop for.

With the major holidays drawing closer and closer, is there any glimmer of hope for those who still need to find those perfect gifts for their loved ones?

Luckily, there is indeed hope for you to complete your holiday shopping with the help of Google. They can make your shopping experience less stressful on even the most hectic of shopping days, including this past Black Friday! However, for those who skipped out on Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals, there’s still hope for discounted items on Green Monday!

What is Green Monday?
Green Monday takes place on the second Monday of December. It is an unofficial, yet highly popular, shopping day, with the term green, not referring to the environment, but instead to all the dollars bills you will be saving.

The shopping day was created by eBay back on December 14, 2007, when marked one of their best sales day of the year. The idea stuck around since it is another opportunity for shoppers to find some great deals on items before Christmas.

Since Green Monday isn’t as well-known among shoppers, many stores have instead adopted the name “Cyber Monday 2.” Believe it or not, MarketWatch has reported that Green Monday is actually listed in the top three biggest online shopping days of the year.

Unfortunately, there isn’t too much information about what type of deals can be expected among the top online stores. So far, Amazon, Walmart, and Best Buy have showcased their potential deals and savings for Green Monday, but speculation shows the deals this coming Monday will fall a tad short of Black Friday and Cyber Monday’s deals.

Overall, Green Monday is worth a shot! You never know what gems you might find on the Internet during the holiday season.

But Wait, There is More!
According to a couple sources like CNET and PC Mag, if Green Monday lacks what you need, the next big day for savings is “Free Shipping Day,” which will be on Friday, December 18. The deals for December 18 have not been released yet, but there are over 800 merchants participating in this last day of holiday sales! Thank goodness for companies being accommodating on shipping for those very late last minute shoppers!
