Tek This Out!: Spooky Edition

By Nick K

Halloween is only a few days away! It seems like the frights and scares have made us lose track of time! From catching up on the latest scary movies to last minute planning of Halloween costumes, there is plenty to keep us busy during the Halloween season. Before the coffin closes on the season, there might be one last adventure that you might want to consider taking provided by who else but Google Maps.

Google Maps Street View shared their two cents – or two spooks, depending who you ask – by providing us all with some Halloween frights and terror. This year, Google Maps Street View has created a virtual journey in which you can travel to some of the scariest haunted places on Earth. Just like other Google Maps Street View adventures that the Tek Team has covered, you can embark on these adventures all from the comfort of your own home! So if you do get scared, you have the option to hide under your blanket.

Some of the spooky locations on the list includes Bran Castle which is located in Romania. It is most commonly known for being the popularly believed home to Bram Stoker’s Dracula. During the day, the castle seems historic and quite elegant looking, but once the sun goes down, the castle is sure to make the blood rush drain your face!

Other terrifying locations you can travel to include Mexico’s Isla de las Muñecas Xochimilco, and Japan’s Gunkanjima. Marvel over the mystery of what makes these places so creepy to visit. If you prefer to stay in the US, then perhaps choose Bodie State Historic Park, which is located in California. You also have the option to visit the 13th Gate Haunted House, located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana!

Unfortunately, The Tek Team doesn’t want to ruin the surprise by telling you just how creepy and spooky these locations are. You will have to find out for yourself!

With that, the Tek Team wishes you all a Happy Halloween and hopes you enjoy the Google Maps Street View adventure!

What are some of your favorite scary places that you have visited before? Please feel free to let us know in the comments below!
