A major part of every writer’s process is drawing inspiration from outside sources. For bloggers in particular, that requires tons of sifting through search pages and keywords, as well as simply keeping an eye open for anything interesting that might spark your interest, whether on social media or larger publications.

You may think that the team here at Tek Shouts! just pulls blog ideas out of the sky, or maybe from our endless internal database of knowledge that resides inside our own heads.

As much as we’d love to believe it, that is unfortunately not the case.

Reading what others have to say is a fun part of the blogging process, and these blogs below are just a few of the sites we love to frequent in order to light a fire under our creativity.

Led by marketing junkie Rand Fishkin, who also attached his own blog to the website, Moz is one of the best blogs in the business when it comes to marketing and SEO. Recently celebrating its 10th birthday, Moz started as an SEO consulting company, and has built itself into one of the premier voices in the industry. If you’d like to learn more about inbound marketing, brand engagement, and the technical sides of SEO, make sure to pay Moz a visit.

When we are really racking our brains to come up with something to write about, no site delivers timely news updates and SEO analysis quite like Search Engine Land. They cover all things search and local marketing, as well as social media marketing. No one knows marketing like they do, so if you own a business or your own site, you’ll surely find posts here that will be greatly beneficial to your professional endeavors.

This site is outstanding for bloggers in general. They focus strictly on blogging, whether it be developing your own following, overcoming obstacles, monetizing, and more. If you have not yet started a blog and are looking to do so, their site has a whole section that walks you through how to get set up as an amateur blogger. Much of their content has taught us new ways to increase our follower count.

A large amount of our content discusses all things Google, particularly Google Maps, Google+ and Google My Business. Nobody knows these topics better than Mike Blumenthal of Blumenthal.com. Any time a new Google search or marketing update is released, he will break it down and explain all you need to know about it. Ranking on Google is what eGumball Inc. is all about, so we always appreciate someone who knows their stuff as well as Mike Blumenthal.
We hope these help! Now get out there and make all your blogging dreams come true.
